Who We Are
Riley Stamper, Associate
Riley is a political and policy professional who provides clients intelligence and insight about congressional and administration policy priorities. With a strong emphasis on client support, Riley actively champions their priorities, specifically in the realms of financial services, tax, and appropriations. Riley is highly skilled at developing compelling messaging and advocacy campaigns to ensure his clients’ interests are well-represented.
Prior to joining Phronesis DC, Riley worked in the public policy group at a major international law firm on behalf of large multinational clients, interfacing with Capitol Hill and the Administration, developing policy papers and messaging documents, and executing on sophisticated outreach strategies.
In the public sector, Riley served as a legislative aide to Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN), the top Republican on the Senate Appropriations Financial Services & General Government subcommittee. He worked as a personal aide during Hagerty’s 2020 campaign and then moved with him to the Senate, where he assumed the role of legislative aide, supporting the Senator’s appropriations portfolio – a responsibility that included all 12 subcommittees. During his time in the Senate, Riley oversaw the drafting and introduction of multiple pieces of legislation, evaluating their impact on businesses and constituents. He also served as an Eisenhower Fellow at the Republican National Committee during the 2016 election cycle.
Riley holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Wofford College.
